The Sicilian Regional Department for Strategic Planning has approved 2,4 million Euro in funding for the Provincial Health Authority of Syracuse (ASP) project “Healthcare 4.0 – Digital Integration and Artificial Intelligence for Innovative Healthcare” (Sanità 4.0).
The initiative is intended to support the digital transformation of healthcare services through the integration of digital technologies and artificial intelligence.
The project Sanità 4.0 is funded through the Sicily 2021–2027 ERDF Regional Programme under Action 4.5.1, which supports the reorganisation and improvement of local healthcare and long-term care services, with a focus on reducing inequalities in access to healthcare across the territory.
The approved Sanità 4.0 project has a total value of €2,476,219.50, including €1,919,550 for the supply of digital healthcare services.
Funding will be distributed over three years, with €742,865.85 allocated for 2025, €990,487.80 for 2026 and €742,865.85 for 2027.
Implementation will be carried out by ASP Siracusa through public procurement procedures in accordance with Italian and EU rules.
