The European Patients’ Forum (EPF) has announced the appointment of Valentina Strammiello as its Executive Director following a period serving in the role on an interim basis.
The announcement was made during the organisation’s Annual General Meeting held last month.
Strammiello has been part of the EPF team for more than a decade, contributing to several key strategic initiatives, including patient-centred health technology assessment, project development, youth capacity building, and international representation of the organisation.
EPF said her extensive knowledge of the organisation and strong commitment to patient involvement will play an important role as the forum moves into its next phase.
Commenting on her appointment, Strammiello said:
“I am honoured by the trust placed in me and truly grateful to the EPF team for their dedication and support, especially during these unprecedented times.
“I’m looking forward to building on what we’ve achieved together and continuing to work with our members and partners to advance a patient-centred, inclusive, and equitable healthcare system, while pushing for a more sustainable and predictable environment for patient organisations across Europe.”
