The Arctic Midnight Sun Surgical Workshop will take place from June 11 to June 13

Over the past several years, Iceland has emerged as a vibrant medical and scientific innovation center, with Kerecis at the forefront of wound healing and tissue repair.

The Arctic Midnight Sun Surgical Workshop is the leading scientific workshop for advancing education on the safe and effective use of fish skin grafts for the management of surgical wounds and burn injuries. The event will take place from June 11 to June 13, 2026  in Reykjavik, Iceland.

The Arctic Midnight Sun Surgical Workshop allows healthcare professionals to exchange clinical application techniques for the clinical advancement of the use of fish skin grafts and advanced wound dressings.

Kerecis are excited to announce that this year, the scientific workshop is being expanded to include outstanding case submissions utilizing Coloplast’s Advanced Wound Dressings (AWD) in the inpatient care setting.

Participants can look forward to an expanded array of innovative solutions and exciting case studies, as Kerecis and Coloplast combine forces to provide a broad portfolio of wound and tissue repair solutions.

Kerecis is actively working on expanding its portfolio within the company’s current segments, from operating rooms to outpatient settings. Our product offerings include intact fish skin for wound healing (MariGen and Shield), intact fish skin for operating room success (SurgiClose and SurgiBind), intact fish skin for burn healing (GraftGuide), and intact fish skin for animal care (Kerecis VET). The Kerecis products classify as medical devices.

From the town of Ísafjörður in northwest Iceland, Kerecis develops, manufactures, and distributes patented fish-skin medical devices that support soft tissue regeneration in the body, with regulatory clearance in the United States, Europe, and beyond.

Products are available in sheets that are either solid, fenestrated or meshed. Micro is intact fish skin that we fragment into tiny particles that can be rehydrated and inserted or poured directly into wounds that are complex or irregular.

The Kerecis Current platform, powered by artificial intelligence (AI), allows providers to submit and track benefits investigation cases, product orders, and invoices in real time. This reduces the need for phone calls, faxing, or outdated systems. Similarly, our Workspace application gives our sales team real-time access to company tools, helping them work more efficiently.
