UK-based Lune & Wild secures €2.3 million to expand its baby and kids’ food range

Lune & Wild, a London-based baby and children’s food brand, has raised €2.3 million to scale up production and expand its presence in retail.

The company was created by cousins, Nadia Simmonds and Lara Rodgers.

The round was led by Guinness Ventures. Series A funding typically marks a key milestone for scale-ups. At this stage, the business has moved beyond early experimentation, with a product already in the market and customers actively buying and returning.

The focus shifts to turning this early traction into consistent, repeatable growth. For investors like Guinness Ventures, Series A is about backing companies that have clear product-market fit and the potential to scale meaningfully. The capital is then used to expand operations, strengthen the team, and accelerate revenue growth in a sustainable way.

From day one, we’ve believed that children deserve better food. Food that’s full of flavour, made with care, and genuinely supports their development. This investment allows us to take our mission and products further, without compromising on the quality and craft that got us here.

With this new funding, Lune & Wild plans to ramp up production while continuing its chef-led, hands-on approach. The investment will also help the brand expand into additional retail channels, including its recent launch on Ocado.com, as well as strengthen marketing activity and support further team growth.

Lara is a mum and trained Chef, previously cooking for celebs and in some of the world’s best kitchens such as The Ritz & The Newt. She realised that the baby & children’s food category was lacking love, flavour and nutrition. She set about to change this. Lara’s recipes celebrate quality produce and world flavours for little one’s to explore.

We’ve built Lune & Wild in close conversation with parents, understanding the real challenges they face and creating food that genuinely helps. With Guinness Ventures and our existing investors behind us, we’re excited to scale that impact and reach many more families across the UK.

When Nadia became a mum in 2019, she experienced the challenges of weaning first hand. Thankfully Lara came to the rescue with her frozen cubes of delicious goodness!

Having previously worked for ethical food brands and leaders in sustainability, she knew it was her calling to join Lara and create better support for parents by raising the bar of children’s food.
