Up to €30,000 available for early-stage startups

The Portugal National Innovation Agency (ANI) and Startup Portugal have launched Start From Knowledge, a program designed to support the creation of startups based on scientific knowledge developed in academic settings.

Selected startups can receive €30,000 in innovation vouchers to fund early-stage development activities, including business model design, solution validation, and other innovation-related services.

Value for Health CoLAB (VOH.CoLAB) is a nonprofit collaborative laboratory, whose mission is to help people and organisations to measure the value in health.

The founding partners – Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, CUF, Fraunhofer Portugal, and Vodafone – have centralised competencies and resources to create this CoLAB to accelerate fundamental restructuring of Healthcare delivery towards a paradigm shift to Value-based Healthcare and patient empowerment.

ANI takes on the role of aggregator hub for national innovation. Under the supervision of the Ministry of the Economy and Territorial Cohesion and the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, ANI is the platform that guarantees the alignment of technology-based R&D, Innovation and Entrepreneurship policies in the areas of Science and the Economy. Its main role is to promote the valorization of knowledge, namely through greater and better collaboration and coordination between companies and the SCTN.
