Preventive health technology company Neko Health has raised $700 million in Series C funding in a round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and co-led by O.G. Venture Partners.
Since 2023, more than 350,000 people have signed up for a Neko Health Scan, and 100,000 people have experienced one.
According to the company, data from returning members indicate that five of seven key health markers showed statistically significant improvement between scans, supporting its approach to helping people better understand and manage their health.
The new funding will support research into the underlying causes of disease and the continued development of Neko Health’s proprietary technology designed to detect diseases before symptoms develop.
The investment will also accelerate the company’s international expansion, including its entry into the US market, where its first clinic is scheduled to open in New York later this year.
The funding round follows the company’s latest update to the Neko Health Scan, which now includes body composition measurements and clinician review of wearable device data as standard features across its clinics in the United Kingdom and Sweden.
Existing investors Atomico, General Catalyst and Lakestar participated in the round, joined by new investors Liberty City Ventures, Positive Sum, and BDT & MSD Partners.
Neko Health is a healthcare technology company co-founded in 2018 by Swedish engineer Hjalmar Nilsonne and Spotify founder Daniel Ek.
By combining proprietary technology and thoughtful design with best-in-class clinical care and research, Neko has pioneered an affordable preventive health scan unlike any other.
