Eli Lilly and Company (Lilly) has made an equity investment in ŌURA. With this investment, ŌURA will have additional capital to accelerate the development of its health tools. According to the company, this investment aligns with its conviction that the future of healthcare will be more connected, personalised, and responsive to the way people actually live.
ŌURA has sold more than 5.5 million rings worldwide and employs over 900 people across multiple countries and continents. Backed by more than 12 years of research and product development, the company has an in-house interdisciplinary science team comprising more than 30 PhDs.
Founded in Finland, ŌURA has grown into a global health technology company with millions of users worldwide. Combining advanced technology with thoughtful design, the company develops wearable health solutions that provide personalised health data and insights, enabling users to make more informed decisions and support their long-term wellbeing.
This spring, ŌURA introduced the world’s smallest smart ring: Oura Ring 5. It is 40 percent smaller, features next-generation sensing for best-in-class accuracy, offers week-long battery life, and includes powerful new software features that connect clinical history with real-time biometrics to create a more comprehensive, predictive view of health.
At Oura, we believe that better health outcomes come from the daily habits, behaviors, and biometric signals that shape how people feel and function over time. We also believe that the infrastructure around medicine — the data, health insights, and daily support that can help people stay engaged and build sustainable routines — plays an essential role in helping people achieve healthier outcomes.
The ŌURA team emphasises that health is not defined by a single moment or metric: “It’s shaped continuously through sleep, activity, stress, recovery, and other physiological patterns. As more people turn to new therapies to manage chronic conditions, there’s a growing opportunity to connect those treatments with real-time insights and everyday support.”
That opportunity is especially clear in metabolic health. More than 100,000 Oura Members have already logged GLP-1 use in the Oura App, and the company recently introduced GLP-1 Insights, a companion experience that combines biometric data with GLP-1-specific context. It provides members with a broader picture of their health, connecting biometric trends with logged medication use so people can see how their routines and physiology evolve over time.
According to ŌURA, the company is committed to building a broader ecosystem around health outcomes, providing the support people need throughout their care journey. This reflects the broader shift in healthcare: improving daily health outcomes through tools and experiences that keep people informed, motivated, and connected throughout their care journey.
The ŌURA team says: “We believe this is where healthcare is headed: more holistic, more preventative, more integrated into daily life. We’re proud to be a part of building that future.”
