Everyone deserves to feel included. Today’s innovators are finding new ways to help visually impaired people experience the world in a richer way.
Twenty Field of Vision devices were provided to fans at the Coppa Italia Final, allowing visually impaired supporters to experience the atmosphere, emotion and excitement of live football in a completely new way.
The initiative, delivered in collaboration with Lega Serie A, Real Eyes Sport, and Daniele Cassioli, gave fans the opportunity to feel more connected to the action on the pitch and enjoy the unique experience of being part of a stadium crowd.
Field of Vision creates the first-ever AI-powered handheld devices that translate sports action into real-time tactile sensations for visually impaired fans. Using artificial intelligence and unique touch-based tablets, the technology enables supporters to touch, hear and feel key moments of a match as they unfold — from the movement of play to the excitement of decisive moments.
The company’s mission is to transform live sports from simply accessible to truly enjoyable, ensuring that visually impaired fans can experience not only the action itself, but also the emotions, atmosphere and shared excitement that make live sport so powerful.
Users who experienced the technology described how it transformed their relationship with the game:
“With this type of tool, the experience changes to the next level. The quality of the design, the listening and the intention with which the context is built come into play. At that point, the person enters into what is happening, reads it, feels it, lives it.”
The feedback highlights how tactile technology can go beyond accessibility — creating a deeper sense of presence, connection and participation. By combining AI, inclusive design and human-centred innovation, Field of Vision is helping redefine what it means to experience live sport.
Following the success of the Coppa Italia Final, Field of Vision and its partners are looking forward to expanding similar initiatives to more sporting events, bringing the joy and emotion of live competition closer to visually impaired fans around the world.
