US-based Nuvo launches prescription wearable for at-home pregnancy monitoring

US-based women’s health technology company Nuvo Intl Group Inc has introduced a new option for pregnancy monitoring, allowing expectant mothers to lease its FDA-cleared INVU™ wearable solution through their physician or healthcare provider. The company has developed a cloud-based pregnancy monitoring platform designed for use at home or at work, offering remote access to advanced monitoring without the need for long-term ownership or high upfront costs.

The INVU™ wearable solution can be prescribed and leased on a flexible weekly or monthly basis. Coverage and reimbursement may vary depending on the healthcare system or insurer.

Nuvo Intl Group Inc focuses on pregnancy care technologies based on wearable remote monitoring. Its FDA-cleared INVU™ solution enables non-invasive, continuous maternal and fetal monitoring, supporting clinical care while aiming to reduce the burden on pregnant women and healthcare systems. The platform is designed for both clinic and remote use and is intended to help expand access to guideline-concordant prenatal surveillance, particularly for high-risk pregnancies.

By combining medical-grade technology with a patient-centred approach, the company aims to improve patient experience and clinical efficiency across the pregnancy care continuum. Nuvo works with healthcare providers, health systems and industry partners to modernise maternal-fetal care and expand access to pregnancy monitoring.

“INVU™ represents the kind of meaningful innovation that truly changes lives,” said Deb Henretta, former Group President of Procter & Gamble and Nuvo Advisory Board Member.

By extending pregnancy care beyond the clinic, Nuvo is meeting moms where they are—supporting them with reassurance, dignity, and clinically sound insight during one of the most important times of their lives.

Pregnancy monitoring has traditionally relied on brief and periodic visits to healthcare providers, leaving limited insight into maternal and fetal health between appointments. The INVU™ wearable and cloud-based monitoring system offers an additional option for women who want closer clinical oversight between visits, including those with high-risk pregnancies, those living far from their care team, or those seeking greater reassurance under medical supervision.

Healthcare’s future depends on connecting patients to care in ways that are both human and scalable.

Gerald Ostrov, former Group Chairman of Johnson & Johnson and Nuvo Advisory Board Member

“Nuvo’s INVU™ wearable solution introduces a new option for pregnancy care— opening opportunities for both physicians and their patients.”

The INVU™ system has been developed over more than a decade and provides clinician-connected monitoring with a focus on fetal well-being. The wearable device is designed to extend pregnancy care beyond the clinic and into everyday life through continuous monitoring.

The platform combines a pregnancy monitoring wearable with cloud-based processing and a secure HIPAA-compliant infrastructure, enabling medical-grade fetal and maternal monitoring from home or the workplace. FDA clearance confirms that the system can be used as a clinically validated option for monitoring between routine prenatal visits without adding complexity to clinical workflows.

As healthcare systems move towards hybrid and value-based models, INVU™ introduces a new approach to obstetric care that emphasises accessibility, convenience and continuous clinical connection.
